To reach the waterfall, head east on I-84 to Exit 35 and the Historic Columbia River Highway. Drive for 1.5 miles west to the Horsetail Falls marker.

From your car, there is a stunning view of the lower falls, but if you get out and take the trek, you can walk behind the upper falls in no time.

The Horsetail Falls is a 176-foot waterfall and the point at which you start your journey.

Climb the half-mile trail and you will reach the upper falls.
