North Fork Sunflower Maze Is A Massive Sunflower Maze In New York That’s Just As Magnificent As It Sounds

The large disc-like object that we think of as a flower is actually made up of many tiny flowers. They have evolved into a larger flower shape so as to better attract pollinators! If you're looking for somewhere to see sunflowers in New York, North Fork Sunflower Maze in Mattituck is a great option and it's full of these interesting and gorgeous flowers.

The North Fork Sunflower Maze is located at the North Forks Potato Chips' potato farm in Mattituck.

The sunflowers' primary purpose is to create sunflower oil for use in the delicious potato chips, but they have the added benefit of being beautiful and serving as an entertaining maze for guests!

Opening date is dependent on Mother Nature's plans for when the blooms will open. It's typically late July.

You can even purchase sunflowers to bring home with you! Nothing brightens up your home like fresh flowers.

The first North Fork sunflower maze was opened in 2012. After a hiatus of several years, the farm re-opened the maze in 2018, and since then it's grown bigger and better.

There's face painting on weekends, a DJ, and you may even see cute baby animals like the farms' rabbits! It's great fun for the whole family.
