With the arrival of New York's fall season comes cooler weather, crunchy leaves and often eerie vibes once the month of October rolls around. All over our state you can find plenty of spooktacular attractions that will raise the hairs on the back of your neck, but if you want to visit a place that's home to more friendly spirits? Then there's a beautiful garden in Upstate that's filled with ghosts that you might be interested in checking out.

A gorgeous garden to see during the day, by night Saratoga's Yaddo turns into a space full of spirits.

Just off of Exit 14 on the Northway, Yaddo is a garden that you'd expect to see somewhere in Europe. A stunning place that you'll often find locals visiting for photoshoots and to enjoy its unique beauty, many are often surprised to hear that the garden is said to be haunted.

The area you'll hear talked about the most is where you can find four marble statues, known as the four seasons.

Who knew that Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter could have such a spooky vibe? The four marble statues have been on the property for more than one hundred years, continually bringing eerie vibes to those who go near them.

While everyone has their own ideas, many people believe the auras that they feel around the Four Seasons are those of the Trask children.

If you're unfamiliar with the history of Yaddo, the garden was built by Spencer Trask as a birthday present for his wife after purchasing the estate back in 1881. The couple had four children who reportedly all died before reaching their teen years from respiratory illnesses. Those who go near the four statues today claim that the spirits they feel are those of children, leading many to believe the Trask children are still looming around the property.

Other areas throughout the garden are said to be haunted, with many speculating that the spirits they feel are those of famous people like Edgar Allan Poe.

Yaddo has become a safe haven for artists over the years, attracting creative minds from all over the place. But what some people may not realize is that before the Trask's even purchased the property, Edgar Allan Poe had reportedly occupied a small shed here. Perhaps he's one of the many spirits that are said to be felt at Yaddo today?

Offering Ghost Tours on Friday and Sunday at 5PM now through October 29th, those who are curious about Yaddo's spirits can come experience the haunted garden for themselves.

If you visit the garden at any other time it's free to all visitors, but guests who are interested in taking a guided Ghost Tour will have to pay $10 dollars (unless you're 12 years old or younger). Lasting one hour, you'll be guided around the garden and learn more about its fascinating yet spooky history.
