IBM Glen is a 200 acre forest located within the village of Endicott, which is part of the Town of Union, New York, which exists in the southern part of the state. It’s the perfect place to go on a hike and also check out some serious scenery.
Inside of IBM Glen, there is a mature forest that has some of the oldest and biggest trees in the whole area. The Glen’s trees, bird, and animal life has been a major part of the region for centuries. It was bought by IBM in 1930 and used as a recreation area for workers, but was sold in 1990.
Then there is the waterfall, which is small but also undeniably beautiful.
The trail loop is 2.5 miles, and takes around an hour or so to complete. Most hikers agree that it can be either an easy or hard hike, depending on the trail—The Creek Trail is the hardest.
A hike through IBM Glen is a chance to check out mature maples, hemlocks, tall oaks and a few white pines.
But what visitors will really remember is the waterfall!
Ambling around IBM Glen makes for a perfect summer afternoon activity. We can't recommend it enough. While in the area for this waterfall hike in New York State, why not also check out a great polish meal at Podlaise Polish Restaurant, which has some of the most authentic Polish food in the entire region.
