If you've had enough of New Jersey's scorching hot days, we have good news. If you hate freezing weather ... then we have bad news.

Of course, if you have a real problem with the cold, what are you doing living in New Jersey?

The Old Farmers' Almanac has just released its latest edition, which is packed with info about the 2022-2023 winter season.

And the forecast for most of the United States, including New Jersey? A season of "significant shivers."

Apparently, New Jerseyans need to prepare for freezing cold, slushy conditions, and icy sidewalks.

Have your snow shovels handy! This year will, once again, bring icy conditions and tons of snow.

The good news is that New Jersey won't quite reach the freezing temps in the "Hibernation Zone." Residents of the Central United States can expect to see "glacial" conditions this season. Of course, even without heaps of snow, a freezing winter can be quite painful.

Especially if it's supposed to be chilly longer than normal!

However, there is something nice about cold weather, too. Who doesn't like bundling up inside by the fire?

Reframe it as cozy season instead of chilly season, and suddenly a cold winter sounds more appealing!

And keep in mind: The Old Farmers' Almanac is merely a prediction. While the editors do research to make their claims, weather can be fickle! We'll have to wait and see what the winter actually turns out like.
