Pick Your Own Blueberries This Summer At Bartlett’s Blueberry Farm In New Hampshire

One of the great joys of summer for me is finally seeing blueberries out along many of the hiking trails that I frequent. Those little energy bombs are so sweet and sugary when plucked right off the shrub! You don't need to climb a mountain, however, to enjoy these natural treats. There are many blueberry farms located across the state; here is one in Newport with some of the best pick-your-own blueberries in NH.

Bartlett's Blueberry Farm in Newport has been family-run since the early 1980s. Many pickers have been visiting the farm for generations.

The farm lies on a property with a spectacular view of Mt. Sunapee. It contains 5,000 mature blueberry bushes planted in rows.

Blueberries are a plant native to North America, growing mainly in forested and mountainous areas of the United States and Canada.

The typical picking season at Bartlett's is from mid-July through August. The exact picking dates vary depending on supply.

In addition to your own personal stash of freshly picked blueberries, you can also bring home some of Bartlett's homemade blueberry jam.

Bartlett's also partners with the non-profit Aurora Bakery, also located in Newport, to create muffins and pies for its farm stand.
