If you’re looking for an otherworldly adventure, the Lost River Gorge And Boulder Caves will give you a delightful experience! Filled with waterfalls, wooden staircases, and natural caves to squeeze through, this hike in the White Mountains will offer plenty of things to see and do.
If you want to go on an adventure this summer with the whole family, bring them into the White Mountains of New Hampshire to explore the Lost River Gorge and Boulder Caves.
This cool spot is filled with lots of natural wonders to see. Hike the boardwalk as you walk by a river, waterfalls, and caves.
The boardwalk is only about .75 of a mile.
It’s a loop that brings you around the gorge and up wooden stairs, passing by boulders and caves. The area was discovered in 1852 by two young boys fishing in the river.
One boy fell 15 feet down into a cave now known as Shadow Cave.
As you hike along the boardwalk, you too can explore the caves! Adventure out from the easy trail and try your best to explore these amazing boulder caves.
You’ll be awarded with stunning valley views as you move your way through this beautiful hike.
There are so many wonderful things to see as you ascend the stairs through the Gorge. Make sure you bring a camera, as there are many memories to be made!
Remember to bring good shoes, because there are over 1,000 stairs on this hike through the gorge.
For children under the age of 4, tickets are free. Everyone over the age of 4 years old is $20.00 per ticket.
In order to visit this stunning place, you must make reservations online.
They are not currently offering tickets for sale in person. Make sure you book your tickets, time, and date on their website before heading over!
Lost River opened for the season Saturday, June 13th.
You can visit between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Friday through Monday. Take the whole family on this spectacular adventure. It’s wonderful fun for people of all ages!
