It won't take all day and it leads to a beautiful waterfall.
At .9-miles the hike to Beede Falls is short and sweet, but the payoff will make you feel like you tackled a giant hike!
The out-and-back trail begins on Diamond Ledge Road in Sandwich, and leads into the woods.
The trail is well maintained and with flowers, caves and river along the way, it's entertaining for both kids and adults. Plus, little legs won't find this too strenuous.
As you get closer to the falls, you'll begin hearing the river and the waterfall itself.
Once you arrive at the destination, you might be surprised at just how big the falls are. For a waterfall that doesn't get top billing in a lot of places, it's truly lovely.
As you approach the trail becomes a small bridge leading closer to the water.
And in the summer you can enjoy a dip here, too. The water is so clear, it almost feels like being in the tropics!
