The smell of corn mazes is in the air! Is that a thing? We hope that's a thing because it sounds particularly full of Autumn vibes and we couldn't be more excited for the season. Pumpkins, apple cider, and donuts are just a few of the reasons that we love the season. Another one? Corn mazes to get lost in all over the state. This one in Lee is one of our favorites.
While in some states having a favorite farm might seem weird, in New Hampshire it's pretty common. And even more common is folks who consider Coppal House Farm in Lee to be theirs!
In fact, Coppal House Farm is pretty famous around here for their incredible display of Sunflowers each year at the annual Sunflower Festival. But when fall arrives, they shift gears to corn!
From the outside things might look fairly... farmy. Corn stalks growing sky high is pretty typical.
But if you take a look from above, the fun secret is revealed. The farm is known to have some of the best corn maze designs each year. This salamander was featured in 2013.
Last year, visitors had the opportunity to explore this incredible shamrock maze.
This year's theme is the river otter and from what we can see it might be the most fun design yet!
What makes this maze extra fun are the clues along the way. There are mailboxes located throughout the path. Each one has a trivia question related to the theme. If answered correctly visitors are led to the shorter path. Answering incorrectly could mean spending extra time in the maze.
The maze opened Saturday, August 31st and stays open through Sunday, November 3rd. That's two months of chances to figure this thing out!
Visitors can explore the maze during the day for a fun challenge, but head in for a night maze exploration when things get really interesting! Dress warmly and bring a flashlight for some of the most fun nights of the season.
The farm is beautiful and has been creating these mazes long enough to be considered true experts. And if you love their sunflowers, you might just have a new appreciation for the fall season.
