1. Paradise in Picayune

The secluded resort, Paradise in Picayune, features many amenities, including a gorgeous white sand beach. Though the resort isn’t open to the public on a daily basis, it is available for rentals, which means you can spend a day splashing around at your own private beach.

2. Clear Springs Lake

Part of a recreation area that’s nestled within a forest, this secluded spring-fed lake provides the perfect spot to cool off, sans crowds. A major pro of its location in a designated recreation area is that it’s incredibly easy to get to, despite its remote setting. This calm swimming hole in Mississippi is a must-see!

3. Piney Grove Beach

Another great swimming spot situated within a recreation area, this beach is part of the Piney Grove Recreation Area. 4. Merit Water Park

This "laid-back country water park" has been in business since 1939 — and for good reason! 6. Seminary Falls

These quaint falls are scattered along Okotoma Creek. A popular spot for canoeing and kayaking, the creek is lined with plenty of sandbars, making it easy to stop for a dip or picnic.
