Looking for a great hike that’ll require little effort on your part? If so, you’re sure to love Dunn’s Falls Trail. At just 0.4 miles, it couldn’t be much shorter. But the minimal miles aren’t what make the trek so great. That honor goes to the trail’s namesake fall, which can be viewed from above and below.

Dunn’s Falls Trail winds through Dunn’s Falls Water Park in Enterprise, MS.

Nestled along the pristine Chunky River and home to a waterfall, Dunn’s Falls Water Park is a great place for an outdoor adventure, especially during the warmer months.

Easily explore the park – and all its perks – by trekking along the Dunn’s Falls Trail. The 0.4-mile out-and-back trail begins and ends at the base of the park’s namesake waterfall, Dunn’s Falls.

However, you don’t want to rush to the base of the waterfall. Instead, you’ll want to spend some time exploring the area above the waterfall, where you’ll be treated to high-up views.

There’s also a rustic homestead, pond, and 1857 grist mill.

When you’re finished exploring and ready to set out on Dunn’s Falls Trail, you’ll make your way to the base of the fall, which requires trekking down a wooden staircase.

From there, the trail winds through the woods. Though not marked, the path is well-worn and runs along the river, making it easy to follow.

The trail comes to an end at the park’s campground. Once you reach the end, you can make your way back to the waterfall.

Your fun doesn’t have to come to an end after your hike. The crystal clear waters of the Chunky River are perfect for fishing, canoeing, and swimming.

And at the very least, you’ll want to spend some time admiring the beauty of Dunn’s Falls.

Man-made, it was created in the 1850s by an Irish immigrant, John Dunn.

The 65-foot waterfall towers over treetops and topples over rocky bluffs, resulting in an idyllic sight.
