Most people know Voyageurs National Park as the boat and canoe-friendly park of the Northwoods. Quiet, calm, and just what you'd expect from one of the best parks in Minnesota. But what most people don't know is that, despite its humble reputation and its out-of-the-way location on the border of Canada, Voyageurs National Park was named the #1 national park in the entire country to view a sunset.

Kabetogama Lake was named the best spot for viewing not just sunsets, but sunrises as well. This proves yet again that Minnesota can hold its own, even with just two national parks.
