As you gaze out onto Lake Superior, take note of the fascinating combination of rock cliffs and pebble beaches below.
The North Shore of Lake Superior has one of the most unique landscapes in the state.
It's a result of many, many years of eroding bedrock from lava flow and glacial action, and it's truly an astonishing sight to see. On a super clear day, you might even be able to see Wisconsin! Paired with the beautiful blue water and endless hardwood forest, it's no wonder why this is one of the most visited state parks in Minnesota!
For more information, including camping opportunities, visit the park's website. Tettegouche State Park is home to more than one natural wonder. While you're there, be sure to hike the High Falls trail to the High Falls of the Baptism River - it's the largest waterfall that's entirely within Minnesota!
