16 Terrifying Views In Maine That Will Make Your Palms Sweat

Maine is breathtaking. But sometimes, to see the state in all its glory, you've got to take in a different vantage point. You may need to include some pretty precarious places. Here are some terrifying views of Maine that may make you break out in a sweat. But, be warned, most of these are actually pretty beautiful. You can blame that on Maine, a state that just can't help but look good!
1. One of the scariest parts of the Beehive Trail is when you see this sign. And know you can't turn back.
2. A more precarious portion of Acadia's Beehive Trail.
3. It's a long way up to the top of Pemaquid.
4. Wouldn't want to fall from this coastal scramble.
5. The short, but steep Acadia Beehive Trail.
6. A bit too close to the edge at Smalls Falls if you ask me.
