This beauty of a beach is nestled on the shores of Lake Claiborne and one of the biggest perks to this summer hot spot is the option to sit in the benches in the shade. We all know how hot it gets in the summer, and sometimes you just need a few moments in the shade to cool down. This is one excellent state park to visit in Louisiana you can't miss.
3. White Sands Lake Day Beach, Franklinton
Located in Franklinton, this hidden gem is fun for the whole family. Not only can you set up shop along the beach, but the aqua park is always a hit with kids. After you've done a little relaxing and soaked up some sun, rent a canoe or a stand-up paddleboard to explore the water from a new perspective. Believe us when we say this is definitely one of the most beautiful beaches in Louisiana.

The half-mile stretch of beach at Cypremort Point State Park may be tiny, but don't let its size fool you--this beach is truly a hidden gem. Be sure to stick around still sunset because dusk over the Vermilion Bay is something every Louisianian needs to see at least once. South Toledo Bend may be known for its world-class fishing opportunities, but the true star of the show at this state park is the beach. It's also a popular spot for Bald Eagles, so keep your eyes to the sky and you might spot one flying overhead. This is a really great item to add to your fun things to do in Louisiana list for sure.

Located on a peninsula on Caney Lake, the beach over at Jimmie Davis State Park simply cannot be beaten. Beautiful line views, clear water, and white sandy beaches just waiting for you. This lake in Louisiana is a little slice of paradise.
