Waterfall Park is a little known-park that is stunning and the perfect destination for your next outing. This park is not only home to one of the most gorgeous waterfalls in Kansas, but it boasts many additional features to make it a destination that the entire family will love.
Waterfall Park is a 15.8-acre park located in the city of Merriam and near I-35. It is in a unique location as it sits between railroad tracks and an industrial area in the city.
As the name suggests, the highlight of this little-known park in Kansas is the beautiful Turkey Creek Waterfall.
You can take a short trail to capture some of the most beautiful views of the waterfall and the surrounding area.
Spend the day sitting on the shore and admiring the views of the falls …
or put on your swimsuit and hop in the water. It isn’t uncommon to see individuals swimming on a hot day.
Don’t be surprised if you see a train pass by the waterfall as well.
After you’ve spent your time near the falls, walk around the beautiful grassy areas in the park. As you explore, you’ll come across some unique sculptures.
There is also a playground for the kids to enjoy and picnic tables and grills to help you prepare your next meal.
Waterfall Park is also an access point to the popular Turkey Creek Streamway Trail.
