The Hiking Trail Hiding In Indianapolis That Will Transport You To Another World
Fall Creek Trail in Indianapolis offers a scenic and accessible hiking experience for all skill levels.
If you’re in Indianapolis, you’re very lucky. Not every major city has a wide variety of hiking trails that can make you feel like you’ve truly escaped the city and have been transported to a quiet, nature-filled haven. Indy actually has quite a few trails that’ll make you feel this way, but our favorite has to be Fall Creek Trail.
Fall Creek Trail is located in Fort Harrison State Park, which is at 6000 N. Post Road, Indianapolis, IN 46216.
This 2.7-mile loop trail has a moderate rating, making it perfect for hikers of all experience levels. At less than three miles, you’ll have no trouble traversing this trail even if you aren’t a hiking enthusiast.
Along the trail, you’ll run into beautiful Fall Creek.
There’s no shortage of picturesque views to enjoy and photograph along the way.
Feel free to bring your dog, as this trail is pet-friendly. Just make sure to keep him or her on a leash!
You’ll find areas of gorgeous, green forestry that overlook the Creek.
Be sure to stop and check out the various species of flowers that you won’t find many other places in the city.
It’s a stunning trail to hike no matter what time of year.
