It's so secluded, you would never know it's there. Simply head two blocks from bustling Main Street to the much quieter Prospect Street to find it.
When you arrive, you'll find over three acres of natural beauty. You'll probably think it's one of the prettiest gardens in Illinois.
The owners work diligently to maintain the flourishing gardens. Though they could keep all of that beauty to themselves, they give tours so the public can enjoy it as well!
You can tour the gardens any day of the week.
Tours are held at 11 a.m. and noon Tuesday through Saturday. It is closed on Sundays and Mondays. The $10 ticket price is incredibly reasonable for all of the gorgeous sights you are able to see!

The "Sunken Garden" grows among the foundation of one of the oldest African-American churches in Illinois. It's a gorgeous and serene place to enjoy and reflect.
