October's such a delicious month, isn't it? With the prettiest season of the year comes a plethora of taste tantalizing treats: freshly-pressed apple cider, pumpkin spice goodies, and pumpkin donuts. Satisfying that seasonal craving for pumpkin donuts doesn't get any easier than heading over to Didier Farms in Illinois.

Didier Farms, in Lincolnshire, annually hosts a fun and family-friendly fall festival, the perfect way to celebrate the season and to indulge in some seasonal goodies.

Already underway, the harvest festival welcomes guests daily, including on Columbus Day, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. The festival wraps up on Halloween at 4 p.m.

Admission to Pumpkinfest is free. However, you'll have to pay for activities. A special wristband is available on Thursdays from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Pumpkinfest boasts a full menu of kids' activities. However, you might want to cure that craving for pumpkin donuts first.

Didier Farms is known for making some of the best pumpkin donuts around, but that's just the start of the goodies available during the festival. Hot apple cider, grilled hot dogs, and burgers are just some of what you'll find on the menu.

All activities require tickets, and you'll find quite a few of them for the kiddos - from kids' rides to camel rides - at Animal Land.

Visit the animal residents of the farm too at Animal Land. For a unique experience, join the Parakeet Encounter. You can feed the colorful parakeets that fly up to you.

Don't forget to find the perfect decorating and baking pumpkins (and gourds) before you call it a day.
