Lava Hot Springs is world famous for their hot pools. After all, the town is named after them! People have been bathing in these relaxing waters for hundreds of years, and they were officially granted to the state for public use as far back as 1902.

Lava Hot Springs' famous mineral water is believed to have curative properties and some would go as far as to say they are "healing waters." Bubbling straight out of the underground springs, a soak in the massive hot pool is the perfect way to unwind and recharge. On top of it all, Lava Hot Springs is one of the few hot spring complexes that's open late at night. This means you can treat yourself to a restorative soak underneath the magic of the night sky!

Lava Hot Springs is open every day of the year, excluding Thanksgiving and Christmas Day. Hours vary depending on the season but even in the winter, the pools stay open until 10 p.m. on Sundays through Thursdays, and 11 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. Relaxing in the hot pool during the day is one thing, but doing it underneath the glimmering moon and stars is entirely different.

There are five separate hot pools at this unique destination and the natural water temperature ranges between 102 and 112 degrees. You can choose the pools that best fit the temperature you desire. Best of all, no sulfur is present in the mineral water, which means there's no bad odor! With five outdoor gravel or rock bottom pools to choose from, there's plenty of space to enjoy the water for yourself.
