There’s a new playground in town in Tampa, and it’s unlike any other this city has to offer. A brand-new all-inclusive playground opened up to foster inclusivity and diversity among children. This beautiful space can accommodate kids of all abilities, promoting social interaction, empathy, and understanding from an early age. By removing physical and social barriers, these playgrounds contribute to a more compassionate and integrated society for future generations. Personally, I think we need many more of these playgrounds to pop up throughout the Sunshine State, but for now, let’s celebrate this Tampa gem!

Discover the remarkable New Tampa All Abilities Playground located at 17302 Commerce Park Blvd., Tampa.

Spanning 10,000 square feet, this cutting-edge playground is designed with care to cater to children with diverse abilities – physical, cognitive, sensory, and neuro-diverse.

It proudly features wheelchair-accessible play elements, embodying a new standard of inclusivity and accessibility.

According to Sherisha Hills, Director of Tampa Parks & Recreation, the goal of building this playground was to create a safe and engaging play space where all children of all abilities can create fun and interactive playground memories.

The New Tampa All Abilities Playground goes above and beyond by offering a sensory area and interactive art installation specifically tailored for children with autism or other disabilities.

Additionally, a communication board is thoughtfully provided for those who don't communicate verbally.
