But to me, there is something so enjoyable about smelling the breeze and salt off the water, enjoying the various birds wading through the shoreline, and maybe even having the chance to take a dip if you get too hot. The Key Vista Loop within the Key Vista Nature Park in Holiday, Florida, is worth the trek. And here are a few reasons why...
Situated along the Gulf Coast of Florida, the Key Vista Nature Park is a picturesque place for a wide variety of activities, mainly, waterfront hiking!
Key Vista Loop is a well-maintained trail that meanders through the diverse ecosystems of the park, clocking in at approximately 1.8 miles.
Hikers, bikers, and casual nature enthusiasts can enjoy journey this generally easy route, taking roughly 30 minutes to an hour to complete.
What makes this trail exceptionally special is the fact that it takes hikers along the water, providing incredible views of Anclote Key.
The trail has pockets of hard-packed sand, plus an elevated boardwalk trail making it easy to navigate.
Keep an eye out for the various wildlife that call this place home! There are tortoises, egrets, herons, osprey, and more that you might see milling about.
