Get out and explore the First State after dark during Delaware Night Hikes offered by Brandywine Creek State Park. Their Full Moon Hike, Starry Night Hike, and Owl Prowl Adventures are evening activities you'll always enjoy.

Brandywine Creek State Park is one of Delaware's hidden wonders. It's tucked away near Wilmington, but at the same time it seems like it is its own world.

Many people explore the park's trails during the day, but did you know they host Full Moon Hikes and other nighttime adventures?

Head out to this scenic and historic property just as the sun goes down during one of their night hike events and you are in for a treat!

Check out the telescopes set up in the Hawk Watch parking lot to get a close look at the craters and mountains on the Moon.

Brandywine Creek also hosts Starry Night Hikes, where you can spot constellations and learn about the park's ecosystem far away from city light pollution.

They even offer Owl Prowl programs where you can get up close and personal with some of the park's native owls who love to hunt in the dark.

Whether you head to the park for a starry night hike to spot the Milky Way, or explore Brandywine Creek under the light of the full moon, these Delaware night hikes will be the best thing you do all summer.

The next Full Moon Hikes are Tuesday, July 16, 2019 and Thursday, August 15, 2019. Owl Prowl and Starry Night Hikes are offered monthly as well. You can find the full schedule of Delaware Night Hikes on the Brandywine Creek website, here.
