This Hidden Swimming Hole With A Waterfall In Arizona Is A Stellar Summer Adventure
Discover a hidden waterfall swimming hole in Arizona's Rincon Mountain District, perfect for cooling off after a hike.
Summer in Arizona can be unbearably hot. While many homes, gyms, and apartment complexes have pools to cool off, what do we do if we'd rather be out in nature? Find a swimming hole, of course! Accessible by a hiking trail, there's a hidden swimming hole in Arizona you can try this summer if you go prepared and can brave the heat.
Tucked away in the Rincon Mountain District of Saguaro National Park in Tucson is a hidden waterfall swimming hole.
Accessible via a hiking trail, this natural pool provides a way to cool off after breaking a sweat. If you're hiking here in the summer, make sure you bring plenty of water and sunscreen with you as well as a sun hat.
Take the relatively easy, well-marked Douglas Spring Trail for approximately three miles one way and you'll stumble upon the beautiful Bridal Wreath Falls that spills into a pool below.
This is a popular trail that also includes a stairway. And while horseback riding is allowed on this trail, dogs are not, so leave your four-legged friends at home!
When you finally arrive at Bridal Wreath Falls, you'll probably be ready for a dip! It's a great place to cool off after hiking under that hot AZ sun.
This is a lovely spot to sit and relax for a while. Bring some food and have a picnic. Bring a towel too -- you're going to need it after going for a swim.
Depending on what time of year you arrive at Bridal Wreath Falls will determine the water flow. In the spring, you'll have more water flow than later in the summer, so just keep that in mind.
