It's an out-and-back route with an elevation gain of just over 500 feet, and the best time to visit is from October through April.
The park features over two million cacti in total, and you'll see a great many of them on this trail alone.
From Prickly Pear to Saguaro and everything in between, all different types line the walkway.
In addition to the native flora, history abounds along this trail.
Hikers are invited to stop at two weathered, yet surprisingly intact windmills that fit right into the rugged desert landscape.
