7 Timeless Restaurants In Montana That Never Go Out Of Style
Highlights iconic and timeless restaurants in Montana that have stood the test of time.
In recent years, we've seen quite a few new restaurants, cafes, breweries, and bistros open all around Montana. And while it's always great to try new things (and we love to see new small businesses succeed), sometimes we can't help but crave the classics.
These are a few of Montana's timeless restaurants -- iconic establishments that always serve us a great meal with a smile. They've survived through decades, recessions, and a substantial pandemic -- and with any luck, they'll be around for another century.
1. Sir Scott's Oasis, Manhattan
Unfortunately, Sir Scott's Oasis has permanently closed its doors.Who doesn't have a story about the time they had a memorable meal at "The Oasis?" For 41 years, this has been one of Montana's most beloved steakhouses. The food and atmosphere speak for themselves.
2. The Burger Dive, Billings
Ask anyone in Billings where to get a good burger and they'll send you here. While there are plenty of tasty burger spots in the city, The Burger Dive is the only one with an owner who was crowned "Burger Champion" at the World Food Championships.
3. The Depot, Missoula
The Depot may not be the most glamorous restaurant in Missoula, but it has been a local favorite for over 40 years. The food is consistently delicious, and the ambiance can only be described as classic.
4. Eugene's Pizza, Glasgow
Any pizzeria that has been around for almost 60 years and has so many happy customers has to be doing something right. And considering people pay to have their pizza shipped all over the country, it's safe to say Eugene's has the best pizza in Eastern Montana.
5. Lolo Creek Steakhouse, Lolo
The menu, decor, and ambiance haven't changed much since Lolo Creek Steakhouse opened its doors in 1987, and that's a good thing -- people still come from all over the state to enjoy the best steak of their lives.
6. Two Sisters Cafe, Babb
In 1993, two sisters named Beth Higgins and Susan Higgins opened this charming cafe along with Susan's life partner, John. And all these years later, their locally sourced, homemade cuisine is more popular than ever.
7. Cateye Cafe, Bozeman
There are so many great places to get brunch in Bozeman, it's hard to keep up. But the Cateye Cafe has been a local favorite for the past two decades, and it's easy to see why.
