Those of us who love animals will usually take any chance we can get to see them up close, especially in their natural habitat. Even non-animal lovers will likely admit that the White Bison Trail in Missouri, where you’ll likely see such local wildlife as bison and elk, is breathtaking with its emerald greenery and vibrant wildflowers.

Meandering 3.2 miles through Lone Elk Park, the White Bison Trail's brimming with wildlife, wildflowers, and gorgeous views of the lake.
Your journey will take you past the lake, which is beautiful any time of the year. However, the trail can get pretty slick after a rainfall and in the wintertime.
Keep a safe distance from all wild animals, and don't forget to bring your camera or smartphone along. You'll likely have quite a few photo ops during your journey.
After your hike, you might want to pile into your car for a drive around Lone Elk Park, too. It's another easy and fun way to see the wildlife that live here.
