Owned first by the Yazoo & Mississippi Valley Railroad and then by the Illinois Central Railroad, it remained in operation until the 1940s.
And while the building is old, it’s anything but outdated. It’s the opposite, actually.
Completely renovated, the condo is equipped with modern-day amenities and lots of luxe features.
And with 2 bedrooms, 1.5 baths, a living room, and a fully stocked kitchen, it boasts plenty of space, too.
Though updated, the condo isn’t completely devoid of signs of its former life.
In addition to travel-themed décor, the condo boasts industrial-like features, such as brick walls.
Signs of the building’s past can be found outside, too.
The courtyard area, specifically, is reminiscent of train depots from decades ago.
Even if you’re not a train enthusiast, you’ll appreciate the outdoor space, which is adorned with manicured greenery and a fountain.
There are also several benches, so you can comfortably take it all in.
But the Airbnb’s unique charm isn’t all you’ll love about it. Its location is another huge perk.
The condo is nestled just steps from the Mississippi River, with restaurants, bars, and carriage rides.
