But did you know that these flowing natural wonders maintain their enchanting beauty throughout the year? Here are eight waterfalls in Michigan that are just as incredible in the winter as they are during warmer months.
1. Munising Falls
Head all the way north to Lake Superior for a look at these gorgeous falls. Munising Falls sparkle majestically during the colder months.

2. Tahquamenon Falls
Michigan’s most famous waterfalls are beautiful no matter when you visit them, and winter is no exception. Make sure to bring along a camera — you’ll want to capture the beauty of the icy wonderland at Tahquamenon Falls.
3. Wagner Falls
Each year, Wagner Creek turns to ice, leaving a gorgeous scene to be admired. This site just south of Munising will absolutely stun you.
4. Memorial Falls
Take an icy cave walk behind Memorial Falls near Munising. You’ll feel as though you’ve stepped right into a wintertime fairytale — talk about unique.

This waterfall is largely man-made, but it’s no less gorgeous when frozen. Stop by Barton Hills and take a look at the dam’s wintry spectacle.
7. Manabezho Falls
This 100-foot-wide waterfall features a 24-foot drop and plenty of opportunities to see some of the most beautiful winter scenery within the Porcupine Mountains.
8. Bond Falls
You’ll find Bond Falls smack dab in the middle of the Ontonagon River. Whether the falls are completely frozen or simply surrounded by ice and snow, this is a must-see spot in the Great Lakes State.
