We’re aware that these uncertain times are limiting many aspects of life as we all practice social and physical distancing. While we’re continuing to feature destinations that make our state wonderful, we don’t expect or encourage you to go check them out immediately. And on that note, please nominate your favorite local business that could use some love right now:

The beach is especially popular with families due to the gentle surf, clean water, and maple shade. Even better, there’s a full restroom area and a lifeguard on duty during the summer months. If you feel like stretching your legs or getting out of the sun, the pond is ringed with many trails that are dog-friendly.

Please note that dogs are not allowed at the pond from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. from May to September, but are welcome outwith those hours in the summer and at all times in the off-season.

You can find Hathaway’s Pond on Phinney’s Lane in Hyannis, Mass. Be sure to stop by soon! For more of the best swimming holes in the state, check out a few of our favorites here.
