I'm an east coast girl living in a west coast world. I've worked in the entertainment industry for much of my adult life and I love photography, writing, and traveling around the U.S. as well as to far-flung locations around the world! Travel is my life and writing about it is a dream.
Breweries are not usually known for being family-friendly but we found one that you can, in fact, bring the kids to. Notch Brewing is a family-friendly brewery in Massachusetts that’s located at The Speedway in Brighton. With its spacious outdoor beer garden, this is one place the entire family can enjoy.
Located within the historic Charles River Speedway on Western Avenue in Brighton, Notch Brewing is a popular taproom and craft brewery. This is the second location for Notch which originated in Salem.
Notch Brewing specializes exclusively in session beer and offers 10-14 beers on tap at all times. Guests can order a pint in the Bierhall or in the Biergarten.
Notch's 2,000-square-foot Biergarten is open year-round and has seating for 250 people. The tables are communal giving off a very social vibe that anyone can enjoy.
Although this is a brewery, children under the age of 21 are allowed with accompanying adults. The only times that kids are not allowed here at Notch Brewing are Fridays and Saturdays after 6 p.m.
Order one of the year-round brews like the Notch Session Pils, Left of the Dial IPA, Salem Lager Bavarian Helles, or the Dog & Pony Show New England Pale Ale.
Have you ever brought your kids to this family-friendly brewery in Massachusetts? Let us know if you have. To learn more, visit the Notch Brewing website and follow the Facebook page for updates. In addition to the Brighton location, there is a second Notch Brewing location in Salem.
