Michelle has lived in many places, but counts Maine as one of the best. In addition to the smell of ocean water in the air on rainy days in Portland, she loves puppies, photography, funny people, the Maine Red Claws, traveling, fresh tomatoes, Cambodia and filling out forms. Farmers’ markets are about as Maine as whoopie pies and the smell of low tide. And that’s why we love visiting them all over the state. Even if we’re so far from home that buying fresh lettuce makes no sense, we’re happy to peruse what other people are selling. From soaps to honey to fresh fish, a Maine farmers’ market has everything we need. And if you head to this one, they’ve got even more!
The Yarmouth Farmers’ Market takes place every Thursday from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., which makes it convenient for folks who work most of the daytime. You can learn more about it on their website. Or visit them on Facebook.
