1. Con Huevos

3. El Mundo
Stop by El Mudo on Frankfort Avenue for delicious food and a super fun atmosphere. On the first floor you can eat at the open-kitchen counter or choose to dine at a table upstairs. El Mundo has been open for 22 years because of the outstanding food, drinks, service, and atmosphere that this restaurant offers. Try to stop by Monday through Friday from 5 p.m. - 6 p.m. or Wednesdays and Thursdays for $4 house margaritas.

4. El Molcajete
At El Molcajete, of course one must try the molcajete dish. A molcajete is a traditional Mexican stone mortar and pestle, but here the stone bowl is filled to the brim with fresh, delicious ingredients. The dishes here are flavorful, authentic, and extremely filling!

5. El Taco Luchador
There are two El Taco Luchador locations in Louisville; one in the Highlands, and the other in St. Matthews. Both offer fresh, delicious tacos in a bright, fun building. Try their crispy fish taco, and be sure to drizzle on the hot sauces they offer if you enjoy an extra kick.

6. Bandido Taqueria Mexicana
If you like burritos, skip Qdoba and come to Bandido's instead. They have so many options, including a menu for breakfast burritos, and the service is very quick. This is an excellent choice if you're looking for Mexican to-go. This restaurant is located close to the University of Louisville campus, so this is an awesome Mexican spot for students.

7. La Cocina De Mama
