This Delicious Restaurant In Kansas On A Rural Country Road Is A Hidden Culinary Gem
Are you hungry, Kansas? Today we’ve been searching for great restaurants that are a little out of the way, on country roads and out where no one would expect. We Kansans also really enjoy chicken in any form. There’s nothing like biting into crispy and juicy fried chicken for dinner, is there? This delicious rural restaurant in Kansas is one of the best you’ll find. Come take a look!

Down the lane, between the trees, you'll find this restaurant as well as Chicken Mary's, right down the road. They've had a little feud going for years, but you'll have to be the judge of which is your favorite. For today, our main focus is on the magic that happens at Annie's.

They (and others) call Annie's the "Chicken Eater's Paradise," and they're not wrong. Ever since Ann Pichler's husband became disabled in an accident in 1934, she's been service hot fried chicken and sides to anyone that comes in the door.

You'll find they have every type of chicken available from hearts to livers and both white and dark meat. They even serve cod fish, if you're looking for a different pair to your bird.

In addition to onion rings, you'll find that the staff here at this rural restaurant are full of the hospitality and friendly attitudes we love in small towns. When you eat here, you're treated like family.

A side of spaghetti is sometimes the perfect pairing to this crispy meal, and their family meals on Thursday nights are my favorite. I can almost eat a whole one alone!

They belong on every Kansan's bucket list, no matter how long it might be getting. Get out there and take a drive someday, you never know what you might find!
