Tucked away in the Shawnee National Forest, Cedar Hill River Resort is a southern Illinois getaway that every nature lover must add to his or her bucket list right away.
This river cabin resort is located right along the historic Ohio River Scenic Byway and situated right on this magnificent body of water. It lays claim to 800 feet of shoreline and a natural spring that comes from the nearby rock bluff.
Each is fully furnished with kitchens, gas grills, A/C, TVs with cable, hot tubs, Jacuzzi tubs, and other fabulous features. Some also have simple porches while others have large decks and outdoor picnic tables and fire pits.
Rates run between about $100 to $175 per night depending on which cabin you choose. Beds are queen-size, and the decor will give you that Lincoln-log cabin feel you crave.
