When you’re craving a thick juicy steak, where do you go? Now, not all of us are carnivores but for those who are, there’s one restaurant that serves up some legendary steaks in Illinois. Located in a gorgeous bucolic setting on the Rock River in Oregon, IL, Blackhawk Steak House is worth a visit.
Established in 1978, Blackhawk Steak Pit has long been the go-to steakhouse in Ogle County. In fact, it's the 2021 Readers' Choice Award winner for the "Best of Ogle County" for steaks by Ogle County Life & Rochelle News-Leader.
While you can dine inside, the gorgeous garden patio is where you'll really want to have your meal. Take in the sounds of nature in the most relaxing setting.
Serving high-quality, hand-cut steaks that are cooked to order (and to perfection) on the restaurant's open charcoal pit, your mouth will be watering in no time.
