Kinder's Restaurant in southern Illinois is a marvelous seasonal restaurant situated right on the Mississippi River. It is open seasonally and known for its excellent views, tropical drinks, and extra special overnight accommodations.
Blending in with the water, this big blue building houses a bar, dining room, and gift shop. You'll find all sorts of beachy items at the store like t-shirts, hats, shorts, candy, knick-knacks, and much more.
There are several dining options to choose from at this beachside restaurant. Enjoy a casual drink at the bar or have a whole meal at one of the tables in the dining area.
Guests are most fond of the outdoor deck seating, which features the best views. The restaurant is located next door to the Golden Eagle Ferry landing, so there is always a great deal of boat traffic to watch.

Also available at Kinder's Restaurant is the No Wake Inn, which is available year round. Rooms are uniquely themed with tropical decor and feature wonderful views of the grand Mississippi River.
There are four fabulous suites to choose from. The largest is the Nauti Nights room with two full size beds, a full kitchen and breakfast area, as well as a futon and TV. The price to rent this extended-stay hotel space is $125 per night.
The slightly smaller rooms are called Summer Fun, Ocean, and Swaying Palms. Each is more charming than the last and features a wet bar, mini fridge, microwave, and two full size beds. The price per night per couple is $85.
