Heise Hot Springs Resort in Idaho offers a variety of activities including hot springs, swimming pools, golf, and ziplines, making it an ultimate outdoor playground.

There are some pretty incredible campgrounds throughout Idaho. From lakeside campgrounds to those tucked way into the mountains, you can find fantastic camping spots in the Gem State. But, tucked away near the small town of Ririe is one campground that is the ultimate outdoor playground — Heise Hot Springs Resort. With hot springs, swimming pools, a golf course, pizza, and even a zipline, this is one of the most epic resort campgrounds in Idaho and you need to check it out for yourself.

Heise is a year-round resort near the town of Ririe and along the Snake River in southeastern Idaho. It has many amenities and activities to create the ultimate getaway destination, particularly during the summer months.

While some activities at Heise Hot Springs Resort are available throughout the year, Heise Campground is only open from mid-April to mid-October.

There are several camping options at this Idaho campground including dry camping, RV sites, and even cabins that are perfect for sleeping under the stars without “roughing” it. No matter which campsite you choose, you will enjoy grassy areas, picnic tables, and lots of trees.

And while the campground is certainly lovely, don’t be surprised if you spend all of your time elsewhere at this resort. There are all types of activities that will keep you busy.

Many individuals come to Heise for the hot springs. Heise Hot Springs is a natural mineral hot spring with a temperature of approximately 104 degrees Fahrenheit. This hot spring is open throughout the year and is the perfect destination for a long, relaxing soak.

In addition to the hot springs, this resort also has a warm swimming pool, which has a temperature of approximately 92 degrees. This pool is an excellent option for families with younger children.

During the summer, typically between Memorial Weekend through Labor Day, you can also spend your time in the summer pool. This pool is quite delightful with a temperature of approximately 84 degrees. The pool area also features a diving board, a 350-foot waterslide, and a snack bar.

Keep in mind that you will still need to purchase a swimming pass even if staying at the Heise Campground.

If you aren’t in the mood to get in the water, there are still plenty of activities for you. For example, you can let out your competitive side on the Heise Hills Golf Course. This is a nine-hole golf course tucked away in the mountains.

And, if you want a bit of an adrenaline rush, check out Heise Zip, an incredible zipline tour.

Heise Zip features seven ziplines and you will travel nearly 1.5 miles. The ziplines range between 300 and 1,400 feet and you’ll want to plan at least two full hours for the zipline tour.

Once your day of adventure is over, you must stop by Heise Pizza Parlor. People travel from all over southeastern Idaho for a slice of this pizza.

A stay at Heise Hot Springs Resort is more than just a camping experience, it’s a full family adventure. With hot springs, swimming pools, golf, ziplines, and so much more, this is the ultimate summer playground that you’ve been searching for.
