Farragut State Park is one of the more popular state parks in Idaho. While there are many features and natural wonders within this park’s boundaries that you’ll want to check out, the reportedly haunted Museum at the Brig in Idaho should be at the top of your list. This museum tells the history of the Farragut Naval Training Station and Idaho’s role in World War II. However, this historical museum is not just a place to learn — it’s also a place where you might just encounter a paranormal experience.
The Farragut Naval Training Station was built in response to the bombing of Pearl Harbor in 1941. It was once the world’s second-largest naval training facility and more than 293,000 sailors were trained on its grounds.
The Farragut Naval Training Station's brig was a square building with an inner courtyard. This brig is still standing today and is just one of the 776 buildings that remain at the former training station. It is also listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
