Located along the southern tip of Idaho's largest lake, Lake Pend Oreille, Farragut State Park isn't lacking when it comes to scenery. The park consists of 4,000 acres of pure North Idaho beauty - which means lots of forest and mountain views!
The park is perhaps best known for its history, as it was once a World War II-era naval training station. The park's Museum at the Brig is a must-see during your visit. Located in the station's confinement facility, you'll learn all about the facility's role in World War II history.
The park also provides plenty of camping opportunities with 223 individual sites, 10 camping cabins, and 7 group camps. Surrounded by views of the Coeur d'Alene Mountains, this campground is the perfect place to appreciate North Idaho's serene beauty.
Other popular activities at the park include hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, disc golf, swimming, and boating. Whether you have an hour or an entire weekend, there's no question your time at Farragut will be memorable!
