Take A Hidden Staircase To An Georgia Overlook That’s Like The Famous Stairway to Heaven
Anyone who is an avid hiker or who has been to Hawaii likely knows about the famous Haiku Stairs, otherwise known as the Stairway to Heaven. With about 3,922 steps on the island of Oahu, this hike is easily one of the best in the state. Georgia has something comparable, despite being a bit shorter in size. With under 200 stairs, this shorter trek to the top of Bell Mountain features a 360-degree Georgia overlook that is as jaw-dropping as you could imagine.
Bell Mountain in Hiawassee, Georgia is one of the best overlooks you’ll find in the state.
Hiking up the 100+ stairs to the top of the summit will reward you with 360-degree views of the surrounding area, which includes mountains, lakes, and much more.
Luckily for us, we don’t have nearly 4,000 stairs to climb like they do in Hawaii. With just a quick elevation change, guests will have some of the prettiest scenery in the state laid out in front of them.
The elevation change at the highest point in the mountain is 3,424-feet, which at that height and with 360-degree aerial views, you won’t find a better place to take it all in than this.
Have you ever hiked to the top of Bell Mountain before? Was it as incredible as the photos?! Share with us your experience in the comments section! We’d love to see how you captured this 360-degree Georgia overlook.
