The Trolley Restaurant In Wyoming You’ll Want To Visit Time And Time Again

Cheyenne's Luxury Diner, originally a transportation trolley, is renowned for its historic charm and delicious breakfast offerings.

Throughout Wyoming, you'll find historic restaurants, cafes and diners that help tell the tale of one of America's wildest states. Even in Cheyenne, you might be surprised by what you stumble upon! The famous Luxury Diner is one such place, where the only thing better than the breakfast they serve is the story behind the restaurant itself.

Cheyenne's Luxury Diner is known for serving up the best breakfast around, but did you know about its fascinating history?

Long before the diner was flipping flapjacks, it roamed Cheyenne's streets as a transportation trolley!

For 12 years, it carried Wyomingites through the city to their destinations, until it was retired from service in 1926. Since then, it's been parked on West Lincolnway and took on a new life of its own.

Today, you can dine in the trolley car that's over 100 years old. The owners have worked hard to preserve the feel of Cheyenne's Trolley Car restaurant, and you can certainly tell you're eating some place special.

The breakfast and lunch menu features a variety of diner classics, like pancakes, omelets, burgers and sandwiches.

One favorite is the Caboose -

chicken fried steak with homemade sausage gravy and a biscuit. This is down home cooking!

If you've got a sweet tooth, you've got to save room for their enormous, plate-sized cinnamon rolls!

In 2001, the Luxury Diner was expanded to fit another dining room onto the original Trolley Room, but the historic and unqiue feel of the restaurant was certainly preserved.

You can find the Luxury Diner at 1401 W Lincolnway, Cheyenne, WY 82001, where it's stood stationary for generations.
