After three years, Holl had perfected the art of chocolates, pastries, cakes, and more.

After having immigrated to the United States, Holl spent time in Marietta, Ohio, where he worked for a local ice cream shop. It wasn't until 1986, however, that Holl returned to his original training and opened up Holl's Chocolates in his very own kitchen alongside his wife, Elisabeth. After just eight months, nearly 400 pounds of chocolate was sold, and it was clear that a bigger location would be needed. In 1990, the business moved to Vienna, where it remains today, operated by Fritz and Elisabeth's son, Dominique, and his wife, Michelle.

The company honors old-world ways of crafting chocolate and has incorporated some fresh, modern twists as well. Of course, the best way to experience Holl's is to visit in person. The shop offers everything, from deluxe truffles to dark chocolates, milk chocolates, caramels, barks, and much more.

One of the best parts about stepping into Holl's is that no two visits are exactly alike. Each month brings a new specialty truffle offered for a limited time and always delectable, such as the ever-popular Tiramisu Truffle.
