These Unique Ginger Beer Drinks In Washington Will Satisfy All Your Cravings
Rachel’s Ginger Beer in Seattle offers handcrafted, nonalcoholic ginger beer and delicious dessert drinks at three locations.
Ginger beer (which is brewed, unlike ginger ale) is certainly having a moment. And for Washingtonians, nothing tops Rachel's Ginger Beer. Not only is it handcrafted in Seattle and available online, but you can visit one of the three locations and enjoy one of the best dessert drinks of your life.
Rachel's Ginger Beer is a lot newer -- it got its start a few years ago when Rachel Marshall decided to open her own business while working a shift at a Seattle cafe, Oddfellows.
Rachel had discovered ginger beer in college, and she eventually decided to bring the beverage to Washington. After working in the food industry for 18 years, she decided it was time to become an entrepreneur.
The good news is, you can enjoy as much ginger beer as you'd like -- it's a nonalcoholic drink.
The drink originated in England in the 1700s, but it's become increasingly popular in the USA in the last decade.
Rachel's Ginger Beer (or RGB, as it's known locally) now has three locations in Seattle.
There's one at Pike Place Market, one at 1610 12th Ave., and one at University Village.
In addition to flavored ginger beer, RGB locations sell soft serve ice cream.
And if you've never had a ginger beer float, you're really missing out.
And, although ginger beer is alcohol-free, you can get delicious cocktails at all three locations.
From classic Moscow Mules to the frozen cocktails, the selection will have you checking the time to see if it's happy hour.
Rachel is all about creating community within her business. Her favorite part of RGB is making someone's day better.
And it's hard to have a bad day when you've got a growler of the good stuff.
Stop by Rachel's Ginger Beer the next time you're in Seattle and try these delicious drinks yourself. And while you're in the Emerald City, make sure to enjoy a meal at June Baby.
