Nestled amid the rolling hills and wide open pastures of Washington County, The Inn at Dos Brisas is the only Forbes five-star restaurant in Texas. The pinnacle of rustic elegance, this world-renowned hidden gem sits at the end of a long country road that winds through lakes, wildflowers, and pecan trees.

An onsite 42-acre, USDA-certified organic farm supplies fresh, seasonal produce grown without synthetic fertilizers or pesticides. You really can see and taste the difference -- even the pickiest of eaters lick their plates clean!

Seating is available both indoors and out, with reservations required at least 24 hours in advance for non-overnight guests. Dim lighting and simple decor creates a relaxing atmosphere that invites diners to focus on the food and conversation; not so much their surroundings.

Patio tables overlook the farm in all its vast, sprawling glory, giving patrons a firsthand look at where the produce in their meal was hand-picked from just hours prior to plating. Puffy white clouds, pale blue skies, and lush greenery far as the eye can see -- this is paradise for food and nature lovers alike.

Each season brings with it an entirely different menu, but you can never go wrong with a good brunch spread. Omelettes, waffles, fresh-from-the-oven pastries, and mimosas are all expertly-crafted with subtle flavors that put a gourmet spin on everyday morning classics.

For lunch, light bites like sandwiches and salad satisfy hunger without weighing you down. This vibrant mouthful is a nice change from the boring ham and cheese many of us reluctantly settle for on workdays.

Dinner is typically served in multiple courses, each one with several options to choose from. From wood-grilled, pasture-raised Wagyu beef to local honey cookies and ice cream, every bite is more delicious than the last.

(P.S.: Even if you don't frequent "gourmet" restaurants, Dos Brisas won't disappoint. With menu items like burgers and Southern-fried quail, Texas roots are still very much present in the cuisine.
