Tennessee’s Annual Tribute To All Things Chocolate, Chocolatefest, Needs To Be On Your Bucket List

Every year, the city of Knoxville shows out and shows up for the world's favorite sweet treat: chocolate. There's just something about it, those bars and bags of chocolate drizzled popcorn and truffles and gems of peanut-butter-filled goodness. We love this dark and sweet treat so much that we even dedicated a whole road trip to chocolate. Chocolate is perhaps one of the nation's favorite treats, especially for dessert, and Knoxville's Chocolatefest serves up a whole festival of cocoa-based goodness right in time for Valentine's Day every year. If you're looking for gifts or perhaps just a day of indulgence, the annual January Knoxville chocolate festival is well worth the investment.

In years past The Knoxville Convention Center has held the location for this epic and delicious event. However, as our world ever shifts so do the plans for annual events and so the location has now been moved.

The Chilhowee Park & Exposition Center will be the new home to this event and it is only a couple of minutes down the road from The Knoxville Convention Center.

This will allow the event to be bigger and better than ever, and for that, we can hardly wait.

The Chocolatefest is one of Knoxville's favorite events of the year, drawing folks from all over the area.

Visitors can shop all of the chocolatiers that come in and set up shop. The excitement is palpable and the whole place lights up with joy.

It's not just candy makers that will be there, though. There are plenty of area restaurants and bakeries that come in and showcase their finest chocolatey creations!

There's plenty of activity throughout the day, including live music, the cake and cookie competition, and of course, the Little Miss Chocolatefest pageant.

Not to mention all of the sweet variations on everyone's favorite dessert.

The festival has a general admission cover charge, but VIPs can pay a little bit more to be able to join in on the exclusive tasting room experience. In the tasting room, you will be blown away by dozens of chocolaty options to dine on, making for one incredible experience.

All of the proceeds from the event go to benefit the Ronald McDonald House, so you can indulge in the finest chocolate the area has to offer and still benefit a good cause. Eating chocolate has never felt better.
