Mason’s Lobster Rolls In South Carolina Is A Tiny Restaurant Known For Its Tasty Fare And Big Portions

Visiting Charleston's historic City Market recently became even tastier than ever with the opening of Mason's Famous Lobster Rolls in a tiny space opposite the popular open-air shopping venue on Market Street in downtown Charleston. The new eatery may be located in a tiny space, but the lobster rolls are anything but small.

Piled high with real lobster meat, including options that feature the whole tail, these lobster rolls are most definitely something to write home about.

Mason's Famous Lobster Rolls is a new-ish franchise sweeping southward spreading the delicious culinary cheer found in their famous, huge-portion lobster rolls.

If you've never had a Mason's lobster roll, then you've been missing out. The franchise currently has eight locations including in Delaware, Maryland, North Carolina, Virginia, and South Carolina — with more to open soon.

Over in their location on Market Street in Charleston, you won't find much space but there are tables, both inside and out, where you can scarf down the biggest and tastiest lobster roll you've ever seen or eaten.

Have you ever had a lobster roll with an entire lobster tail that's on top of the rest of the meat in the roll? Yep, you can get one at Mason's!

There are many versions of the famous roll to choose from on the menu, depending upon the size of your appetite. The Bar Harbor roll, seen here, is made with meat from a 1.25-pound lobster — including the tail! Just wow.

One thing to know before you go: anyone who's ever purchased lobster before knows it comes with a price. But when the lobster rolls are THIS big, just bring someone and split it!
