1. Huber's

In 1879, Huber's opened its doors. Though the building is different from the original location, this Portland institution still draws crowds.

Stained glass skylights give the restaurant added allure, and turkey dinners continue to be served year-round.

2. Jake's Famous Crawfish

Opening its doors in 1892, this Portland landmark has remained in its original location for over 120 years.

Jake's is known for traditional seafood dishes, including its namesake, crawfish.

3. Holman's

Starting out in 1933, Holman's has stood the test of time even as a growing restaurant district has encroached on its location. A DIY bloody Mary bar continues to draw crowds, as do daily drink specials and an awesome happy hour menu.

4. Night Hawk Cafe & Lounge

Another institution from a different era, this cafe and lounge has been in operation since 1931. The restaurant has undergone many changes over the years, but continues to serve up chicken fried steaks and stiff cocktails.

5. Otto's Sausage Kitchen

This Woodstock institution has been around since 1922 when it opened its doors as a meat market. It moved to its current home in 1936, and has been supplying German sausages to the neighborhood ever since. Stop in to pick up some sausages and enjoy one straight off the grill while you are there.

6. Stanich's

Serving up hearty burgers since 1949, this NE Portland burger joint is a neighborhood favorite.
