This Humble Little Restaurant In Small Town North Dakota Is So Old Fashioned, It Doesn’t Even Have A Website
Cowboy Café in Medora, North Dakota, offers some of the best home-cooked meals in a charming, mom-and-pop setting.
Medora is one of the most beautiful (and underrated) small towns in North Dakota. It's located quite literally within a National Park, and as a result, it's a mostly quiet and outrageously scenic place. Should you ever find yourself there, there's plenty to do and see - and eat! We found this delightful little mom-and-pop restaurant in North Dakota nestled right in Medora, and it serves up some of the downright best home-cooked meals you'll ever eat. It's such a hole-in-the-wall that it doesn't even have a website! Come check out the Cowboy Cafe - it's a delight and a half, and you won't want to miss it.
Going through reviews about Medora's little Cowboy Café will tell you a couple of things:
First of all, they have the best Belgian waffles ever. Second, they also have the best French toast ever, and third, well, this is pretty much the place to go if you're craving a traditional, all-American café experience.
We agree 100 percent; Cowboy Café is a classic, both in the hyper-local and overall sense.
The fact that they do breakfast, lunch, and dinner makes it even better - no matter when you show up, you're sure to sit down for an excellent meal.
The atmosphere is warm and relaxed - just what you would expect of a mom-and-pop shop.
The portions are generous, and you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. It's all delectable.
Fans of classic American fare will go wild for the sloppy Joes, and breakfast lovers will want to chow down on the beyond-perfect pancakes.
Cowboy Café doesn't seem to favor one mealtime over another; the breakfast menu is as extensive as the lunch and dinner menus, and you can't go wrong with anything you choose!
Medora is a small town with lots to do - especially eating!
If you think about it, our lives are very entwined with food; we need it to survive, and we indulge in it at least three times a day.
If we could, we'd make all three meals for tomorrow ones from Cowboy Café.
