This Two-Day Hippie Festival In North Carolina Is An Absolute Blast

Prepare to step back into the heart of the 1960s as you channel your best rendition of hippie culture at the upcoming Hippe Fest set to take place only a few short weeks from now in Salisbury, North Carolina.

Dig deep into your closet and pull out your best hippie attire (or just come as you are) to take part in an epic two-day family-oriented festival celebrating all of the fun and whimsical things about this iconic generation.

On May 11 and 12, 2019, the Rowan County Fairgrounds in Salisbury will transform into a whirls of color, filled with fun, family activities including cirque performers dressed in hippie attire, a giant bubble garden, a hippie tiki bar, live entertainment, and more.

Sit back, relax and just take it all in as you relive the best parts of the hippie generation.

Enjoy live music throughout the event and don't be surprised if you find yourself tapping your toes and singing along to the iconic tunes of the past.

The two-day event promises to be fun for the entire family, with special events planned just for the kiddos, too.

A vintage car show may display more vintage VWs than you've ever seen in one place at one time.

More than 150 vendors will be on hand selling all things, including tie-dyed clothing! (There will also be demonstrations on how to tie-dye your own items at home!)
